A fairly predictable start to the season. The optimist would say that they've been fairly competitive against two good teams. The pessimist would point to the first two series of the season as evidence that this club will finish at or near the bottom of the division...again.

I think there will be fewer highs and lows this season than last: they will be agonisingly average finishing with between 80 and 82 wins. 155 more games to go! Enjoy.

I'm still really worried about 2015. If the payroll doesn't increase - and there is no indication it will - the Jays will have to unload or defer a tonne of salary. Again, they've got $96mm committed to only 7 players for next season - $41mm of which will be allocated to Reyes and Buehrle. Any takers?
