Apartments, 2 hotels, retail planned near Braves stadium

Cobb planning officials on Tuesday approved a rezoning request for a proposed development near the Atlanta Braves new stadium site that is expected to include a five-story apartment complex with 392 apartments, two eight-story hotels with a total maximum of 290 guest rooms, and 80,000 square feet of retail space, the Marietta Daily Journal is reporting.
The proposed development, called Stadium Walk, is planned for a 12.6-acre tract at 4501 Circle 75 Parkway. The development is less than a mile from SunTrust Park, the site of the new Braves stadium, the paper adds.
