West Sacramento looks at getting more property for future development

The city of West Sacramento this week could finalize acquisition of two parcels from its former redevelopment agency, clearing the way for development.
Both parcels, at 706 Tower Court and 811 West Capitol Ave., are part of a long-term plan the city adopted in 2013.
"This is just following through on what we were planning to do," said Katie Yancey, a senior program manager in West Sacramento's economic development department.
