The photo above shows two blocks that have been left empty after the riots. Those were dark days....I lived through them.
In spite of millions of dollars being spent to rehab the area after the two infamous Riots, South Central Los Angeles is still a ''dead zone''. Few if any big-name stores want to locate in the area. Anyway, life goes on. Hopefully things will improve during the next thirty years.
