Info is a little confusing, but it's not the same building.
Listing in
this Downtown LA Neighborhood Council building list says:
Name: NEWARK BROTHERS BUILDING
Alternate Name: UYEDA BUILDING
Construction: 1906-
National Register Status: Appears eligible for National Register
But looking a little more:
