If you ride Amtrak down to San Diego, some of the route in North County, e.g. Cardiff-by-the-Sea, runs on the center island of PCH. True, it's not quite
in the street, but as a student I did ride past local attractions like V.G.'s Donuts to which I usually drove. That always seemed rather unusual.
