Even most grocery stores now have an ethnic section with imported products with a decent selection, even Superstore and Walmart. They usually go on sale during Lunar New Year but usually it's the bag with the rooster and the price includes a lot of "8"s for luck.
Rice has also gone up in price overall, so a couple of dollars may be simply the cost of selling it.
