It's true, it's true! My wife and I actually just bought a little theater with an apartment above it in this neighborhood in February, and I've been watching the progress of One Water Street since learning about it. Not the most exciting development, but still way better than an empty lot and neglected side streets.
Semi-related - I spoke to the guys cutting up the sidewalks at 2nd and Callowhill, and they said they're reprogramming the signals to make that stretch between 2nd and Delaware two-way.
Got my fingers crossed for
Renaissance Plaza too, but also not holding my breath.
