Meanwhile, on the north side of 2550, it looks like the blank foundations for the townhouses are ready for buyers.

It's an interesting sight. The parcels are slightly partitioned off with big concrete walls, but only of partial length; I'm not sure what the thinking is. I wish harryc with his "construction porn" camera could survey them and give us an engineering geek's analysis. You can see it partially in Google satellite view (but not yet street view). And just like Mansueto, each townhouse looks like it will be sitting on top of the parking deck -- only a small portion of the footprint will be at grade level, enough for a little yard and a stair (unless it'll all be interior), and the remainder of each townhome will be built on top of a foundation that is at like +10 or +15 above grade.
