Memphis Made signs deal for second taproom in hot neighborhood
By Greg Akers – Editor-in-Chief, Memphis Business Journal

Quote:
Memphis Made Brewing Co. announced Wednesday, Oct. 2, its plan to open a taproom and production space in the Edge District. At 17,000 square feet, the new location at 435 Madison Ave. is expected to include a taproom and offices, as well as enough extra space to significantly increase the company's production capacity...

The second taproom proposal includes a patio deck overlooking the Ravine — a planned public park extending between Union and Madison Avenues. The $5 million greenspace is being developed by Development Services Group (DSG) and the Downtown Memphis Commission; it was designed by Dalhoff Thomas Design Studio, with a conceptual master plan by LRK. The Ravine and taproom fall into the larger mixed-use redevelopment spearheaded by DSG. The project is anchored by the old Wonder Bread bakery, which is now occupied by the Orion Federal Credit Union's headquarters. Hundreds of apartment units are being built there, as well.
