I don't believe the ones in the 80s were particularly successful, but with the recent CFL renaissance, who knows?
I don't know why but football all-star games are often duds. Maybe it is because the game is so physical players don't go all out for fear of injury.
Even the NFL's Pro Bowl is not really a big deal to anyone.
Baseball is the best (for all-star games at least).
