Fiesta Mall used to be the premier shopping district for the entire East Valley. I remember my friends referring to the area as next to the "Bug Zapper Building".
The opening of Chandler Fashion Center and Santan Village pretty much killed an inner suburban location that was Fiesta. It's good to see Mesa trying to reinvent the area now though.
