Sacramento Amtrak

I had a one-day “business trip” up in the Tahoe area, which meant a ride on Amtrak California’s
Capitol Corridor up to Sacramento. Not really part of the “Bay Area” per se, but there is a not-insubstantial number of Sacramento area residents who commute into the Bay Area, many of whom use the
Capitol Corridor.
5:00 am, Powell BART
Amtrak has no actual station in San Francisco city limits… Passengers need to take a Thruway Bus to catch the train at Emeryville Station across the Bay. If you’re wondering, I was one of only two passengers on the ride over to Emeryville.
