There are some location shots of a high school near the end, which I used to know the name of (the real one) but now can't find. The house in the movie seems like it might be an actual location too (or it's on a set and I want it to be real), and it's been a lifelong L.A. quarry of mine.... Sweet Americana--Jane Wyatt is the mother, Farley Granger the cute (but even then ambiguous) boyfriend, Natalie Wood and even Martin Milner. By the way, I've been reading an omnibus of James M Cain. The noir oozes from between the pages. DO NOT fail to read at least the short story "The Baby in the Icebox"....
