The latest mention I can find of Amelia Street Elementary is in the 1938 CTA Journal. The site is currently occupied by LAUSD Projects Unit Central, a sort of management office for small construction projects in the district (
http://www.laschools.org/new-site/ma.../projects-unit). Back when I worked for the school district I did some repair work there, and I'd estimate that the current buildings were built in the 40's. I imagine the old school was torn down some time in the 30's after the area lost its residential inhabitants.
