As a kid visiting from Illinois in the 1970s I remember being quite impressed by the view of CBS Television City from Beverly Boulevard
(it seemed so modern). Now the view along Beverly is blocked by a fence with shrubs and trees.

While searching for a view of front lawn shown in the 1967 aerial, I came across this nice Julius Shulman image dated 1953.
