the last 20 years has been a real game changer for Africa's main cities. I have even included the most developed cities in Africa yet those in North African and South African.
Africa hit it's lowest level in the mid 90's, marked by the Rwandan Genocide and the Congo civil war. Since then though standards of living in every aspects in every country has been steadily getting better.
State and political violence is also at it's lowest level currently. only a few sub-regions don't have complete stability (Eastern Congo, Northern Nigeria, parts of the Sahel, Western Cameroon) currently.
