Not my area of expertise (as if I have one) but my understanding is the placard is the route placard and describes the major streets, avenues and boulevards to be traversed by this car. Hence one can see this car will ultimately course along Sunset until it reaches the fork with Hollywood Boulevard (at about Hillhurst) where it will continue on Hollywood Boulevard to N Gardner Street. I think the placard would then be changed to describe the car continuing to the WeHo yard. But, I suppose it's possible the car would reverse course and return to 5th and Hill Streets by the same route. I'm prepared to be corrected by someone with more insight into the local rail business.
