The small plaza at 999 Peachtree (SE corner of 10th and Peachtree) was reopened to pedestrians a few days ago. It looks pretty much the same, except the fountain has been replaced with a small patch of grass. It's possible that this area can be used for outdoor seating for the new restaurant.
I also walked by the Waffle House location in Tech Square, and things are moving right along. Should be ready to go soon.
