I'm flying overnight from Seattle to NYC in February, so I should have photos of lots of nighttime grids if I don't fall asleep. The whole lakefront is amazing.
I would have seen NYC at night if I hadn't switched planes in Detroit and arrived at 9am instead of 6am as planned. That landing in Detroit, while amazing (and topical to this thread!) was hell. Circled over Ann Arbor, plane shaking, heavy snow out the window, flight attendants panicking, but oh gosh, la-di-da, pretty street grids! Pfeh.
