Alice Faye and "Sugie" (Harry Sugarman, of the Tropics Beverly Hills) opened The Club Car, at San Vicente & Wilshire in February 1941. I guess this was it.

It doesn't seem to have operated very long, because by NYE 1941 it had become Sardi's Wilshire.

Frank Kerwin opened his Wilshire Seacomber 11-1-1950. It was still Seacomber when there was an arson fire here in November 1953.
