Hudson Yards tower will be a twist on the classic skyscraper

The illuminated rings on the 1,005-foot tower will be impressive at night, says its designer.
It’s where the High Line meets the skyline.
Builders of the Hudson Yards project unveiled a truly twisted idea for the under-construction neighborhood on the far west side: a 1,005-foot tower called the Spiral.
The name refers to a twisting ring of landscaped terraces that define the tower and, its designer hopes, link it directly to the northern terminus of the High Line greenway.
