Yeah, I'll back pretty much all those. My GF lived in Uptown for some time, and we've been around all those, and they're all nice and walkable. They're not of the size and scale of SF, but that's not to say they're not great areas. If you also go to SF a lot, Chinatown, Lakeside, and Uptown have very convenient BART access.

Yup downtown would be my number one choice since it’s more urban over a larger area, close to BART, and walking distance to the Lake as well as all the other districts mentioned since it’s most Central.
