ok concrete transport buckets - good information - thanks scalziand.
I like JR's post 2477 . .
That particular picture shows the sharp ferocity of the crown angles scraping the sky.
It also informs about the depth-relationships . . between the north and east faces . .
of two of the tripartite crown sections . .
It's a clear hard-edged representation of the tower's stark beauty.
at the bottom of Chris's post 2480 . . . (no beef about Chris) . .
there's one of those ubiquitous saccharine sweet renderings of the tripartite crown . .
being portrayed as some sort of vision of neapolitan ice cream . . softening the form.
Even the best sunset wouldn't so differentiate twilight color on the segments.
It's irksome . . Doesn't anybody else see that? . . It's probably me.
another musing about this location pops into the noggin . . just imagine CBS . .
(the famous squat "Black Rock" icon just to the southwest across the street) . .
if it was 2X as tall . . 80 stories instead of 40 . . Now that would be sizzling-hot modern-
ism . . on par with "Big John" . . & some other Giants of Modernism in Chicago . .
Of course Verre is even better than that . . thank you very much . .
but imagine the dark pair rising so close together . . Modern Midtown gravitas.
