Found this bit of info:

Errett Lobban{E. L.} Cord estate. 10-acre Southern planter's mansion designed by noted architect Paul R. Williams. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Williams_(architect) Landscape architect A. E. Hanson. Resembling a pastoral East Coast setting featuring tennis courts, Olympic-sized pool with bathhouse, a large party pavilion and spacious stable with living quarters, an aviary and kennels. During the Great Depression of the 1930's this estate was known as "party central" in Beverly Hill! Demolished in 1963 with only the short street Cord Circle as a reminder.
