The pix on 12th st were at the LARy -LATL-LAMTA storage yard which occupied much of the block on the west side of 12th. behind the photographers. Herald Express had a giant sign across the building which faced the yard- I always assumed that was the place where the newspapers got printed

So there are Herald Express signs on
both sides of the Hotel Houston. Why I wonder?...were their offices nearby?
(or is that their offices in the smallish building to the left of the hotel)-as shown in the original black-&-white photo.
-not that big of a deal...but interesting none-the-less.
