Some of the world´s strongest and most profitable banks, some existing for centuries, with agencies in US and Western Europe, even more profitable than in US and Western Europe, and without mortgage crisis - that hopefully and wisely is not allowed in Brazil), are based in São Paulo. And Brazil is US fifth largest foreign creditor.
