I've never paid much attention to Melbourne's skyline before because I love the tram-lined streetscapes so much, but the skyline photos on this page are knockouts. I honestly can't choose just one standout; I love them all.

Melbourne speaks to me in a soulful, ineffable way that no other city on earth does. It doesn't even have anything to do with the fact that the commercial streets are somewhat reminiscent of Toronto, another city I really like. It's hard to explain. And maybe that mysterious aspect of the attraction is what makes it so strong.
