This is just plan bad news regarding the cap and trade scheme. 68% oppose the gas tax increase based on that poll (probably an overestimate since the PC's have a nearly 20-point lead in the same poll, but even if off by 10 points that is still strong opposition).
Yet even with the nearly 20 point deficit, the Liberals may still form government since their support is much more concentrated.

Forum's other question, asking specifically about the effect on gas prices, which shows 68% opposition, may be accurate, but the one about cap-and-trade specifically is offside results from more credible pollsters.
