It came back with camera guts outside of the camera in the bubble wrap. The box was in perfect condition. I have no idea between QA/QC and shipment how it got wrecked. Nikon admitted fault and the camera was sent back. It was under warranty so I paid nothing first time, and of course won't be the second time. I did have to pay for FedEx next day to get it out there in a rush, but that was very cheap. Never package your equipment yourself to send it in to Nikon. Let FedEx or UPS professionally package and send. I've been without it for awhile. I've been using a Canon with rented lenses for now.
