I didn't have my trusty 1947 map when I asked the above question several years ago so here goes...
It turns out there
was a 7th Place near Figueroa.
This makes the Beck Hotel (green circle) almost next door neighbors to the Westmoore Hotel (blue circle) at 7th
street and Flower.
The Westmoore one last time.
Today 7th Place today is further east by the river (not there on the 1947 map).
