Probably because similar projects have been blocked for decades over here. Keep in mind, what is both rare and desirable always tends to be overpriced, which is bad.

Yes. Paris is wonderful but very different cities. A building this height is unremarkable these days in Manhattan and has little to nothing to do with how expensive the units are. There can even be plenty of affordable housing mixed into projects of this height (affordable meaning the prices are set artificially and cannot exceed a certain threshold). Doesn't look like prices for this one have been released but looks like a standard luxury and not ultra luxury project.
