I do understand that 480ft / 35 stories is almost moderate or random over there, but over here, it'd still be pretty big as something residential.

Maybe NY is getting closer to the fantastic point where this would turn into an actual mainstream standard since they've built quite a little bunch of it yet, but if you built the same around the center of Greater Paris, I think only the very rich could afford it, unfortunately.

Probably because similar projects have been blocked for decades over here. Keep in mind, what is both rare and desirable always tends to be overpriced, which is bad.

Now if NY can set a fair example in that matter by making it more accessible to, say the upper mid class already, then it'd be splendid.
