Imagine being an owner of an MSL team recently having paid $50 - $150 million for an expansion franchise, and within a few years having your team relegated to a 2nd tier league because they finished last. Meanwhile, the owner of a 2nd tier league, having recently paid a whopping $2 - $3 million for his team, has it promoted to the MLS after winning the championship the previous year. Not going to happen here.
