The rectangular parts that jut out into the water are interesting in the sense they create edges where people can sit or lean against the side. I wonder how it will fare, usage wise. It doesn't have much space for lap swimming and it doesn't have any features for children. It could attract adults but maybe only if there's programming(movie night or something) or if there is advertising.

I was thinking the longest portion of the pool was the lap area but maybe not. Interesting design.
Lots of park being built and/or upgraded in the vicinity of DT (midtown superblock, buffalo bayou, and Baldwin Park in midtown).
