Considering how mine was always hollow, I think it makes a huge difference. I remember you saying yours has bricks behind the clear plates. In that case, I think the difference wouldn't be as drastic as it was for me. My version 2 is still hollow, except for where the 1x2 are turned to accomodate the 1x3 window size. I noticed that bricks behind trans black plates really don't effect the overall scheme at all.
