Gas is not expensive relative to other necessities. I don't like that oil companies and middle east tyrants are making a lot of money off of it, but since it is an extremely valuable, limited resource with environmental impacts, it should be expensive.
I'm saying this as someone who is going to spend close to $500 on gas this month (I'm doing a lot more driving than usual)
