It was always my understanding that the street formerly known as
Charity Street was our modern-day
Grand Avenue.
However, the
linked book gives that legacy to two different streets - Grand and
Spring:
Is the second paragraph simply in error? My understanding is that Spring Street used to be called
Beware (or Lookout) Street....
