Today's Julius Shulman post takes us back to school. It's
"Job 2451: Hugh Gibbs, Robert Milikan [sic] High School (Long Beach, Calif.), 1957". Like most of the photosets I'm going through at the moment, there are quite a few images, so I've picked a selection so that I don't overload you with similar views.
A look across an almost empty campus.
The library and a covered walkway.
And here's the inside of the library (I assume).
The gym (seen in an unposted image) and pool have the same ceiling design, so they were probably in the same building.
After the factory shots I've posted recently, it seems odd to see the workshop with no one in it.
Here's another auditorium to add to our collection.
I'll finish with the interior.

Robert A. Millikan Senior High School can still be found at 2800 Snowden Ave, Long Beach. I've gone for an aerial "now" view looking east.
Google Maps
The school is named after the physicist
Robert Andrews Millikan, who also gave his name to Caltech's
Millikan Library which we saw last month.
