I moved to Montreal in 2001.. lived there until 2006. Even in this small time frame I saw a lot of changes. For one, the f'n STCUM became STM, and it jumped like 20 bucks a month for a pass ( I don't know what it is now? 200 bucks? wouldn't surprise me...)
Is Chez Clo still open? This was my very first montreal culture shock. I moved from frickin' Regina the day before and ended up in this place for my first ever déjeuner. Smoky throat waitress called me "tit bonhomme de prairies".
