Edmonton has some angles where buildings hide, and things look more sparse than they do in other angles. These angles are less common in pictures though, especially widely shared ones because people are usually less inspired to take photos at these angles and people are less likely to share the final product. This is probably true for many cities actually...

In this case they selected an angle that gives a skyline shot that allows them to draw more attention to their project. Most other angles especially ones from south of DT wouldn't hace the same impact as finding one (without KR) where you can see pretty much all of Stantec. If they really wanted to play up their impact they could have gone from the North, but then you loose the river and most people including Edmontonians rarely picture the skyline from the North. They are also marketing their development, so including other new u/c or proposed buildings would both obscure their building and give extra facetime to the competition. It's a video for 'Ice District' not DT Edmonton as a whole.

Still cool to see though
