Brooklyn Bridge Park condos selling at record prices

Over 40 condominiums at Pierhouse at Brooklyn Bridge Park have entered contract in a span of 10 weeks, as the average per-square-foot price of $1,800 there set a record for the borough.
The prices are 25 percent higher than the projections of developer Toll Brothers in the fall. The 85-acre waterfront park project, which is currently under construction, is set to hold a total of 108 condos. Prices have been increased six times since sales launched in February.
David Von Spreckelsen of Toll Brothers City Living Division told the Wall Street Journal that roughly half the buyers already resided in the neighborhood.
