What I find amusing is that some of the neighbors protesting this development are not fourth generation 12th Street residents being pushed out but gentrification, but rather the residents of the row-houses just East of I35. These row-houses were built less than six months ago and are themselves out of scale with the neighborhood. I'm sure their main problem with these building is that they will block their skyline views from their 3rd floor balconies. It's a pretty blatant case of the "Fu*k you, got mine" mentality.
