toronto doesn't have them either. kind of strange.

last year the STM was testing new flyer articulated buses from ottawa on the 535 and a few other rush hour routes. last i heard, the plan was to put them into service on some of the 500-series R-bus routes as well as the 105 sherbrooke in NDG.

i think double-decker buses would be a good solution for busy routes that don't pass through any underpasses. they work well in congested urban areas since they take up less roadspace than articulated buses (see london and hong kong) and they're also good for longer-distance routes (see victoria, bc).
