How sad that I missed the period when NYC was at its gritty prime..
I came to Toronto in 1995 from Ukraine but was always fascinated with NYC and its problems and crime, since it was talked about a lot around that period.
It was not until after 2000 when I could make my way to NYC but it was too late then. Now it's all limited to pictures.
