Fantastic thread, Im surprised more people aren't commenting on the explosive growth of the skyline in the last 7 years or so. It wasn't that long ago when Frost Bank Tower was the only one poking out from a rather pedestrian skyline from most angles. Now it is quite impressive for its metro area size.
I would say Austin and Miami have gone through the biggest skyline transformation in the last ten years. Here in San Diego we have obviously seen an improvement but due to the 500 ft. limit we don't have the height Austin now has. Your tallest would look perfect here. Also I know Doug Manchester a major developer here is building a 560 ft. tall hotel in Austin, has that broken ground yet?
