oh, how the great city has fallen! to see those shots of actual street activity mark how little is left of the energetic, if slightly rowdy city that stood as a great american city of the first half of the 20th century. now, it is little more than an accessory to a suburban wasteland. there is still potential, but so far it has barely been realized, even in the last boom. here's hoping for 2012 or later, when things will get going again.
