what a shot, just above . .
the closeup of the ESB's saltshaker spire . .
the historical building's most distinctive feature . .
great to see the cleanup & renovation of the 102nd deck portion . .
reassuring to know that this old faithful landmark
will still be able to handle the tourists . .

but what a tarnished wreck ! . .
please strip off all the unsightly haphazard
gangly jerryrigged tech-whatchamacallits . .
Repair, restore, & polish, the shapely sleek deco stainless-steel lantern surfaces . .
then, if need be, affix whatever necessary tech parts, that are still functioning,
to the antenna [perhaps heightened] . .

The ESB's renowned pinnacle,
it's distinctive one-of-a-kind lantern-crown . .
is no longer the metropolitan area's broadcasting workhorse . .
There are plenty of taller buildings to do that job . .
So it's time to lose the rusted, greazy junkyard, of outdated instruments
cluttering up our graceful jewel . .

though she's no longer tallest in the world,
she's probably still the most famous iconic office building . .
especially with the recent up-to-date colored lighting up top . .
And she could, . . lavished with some civic-minded attention, . .
and from an advantageous angle, with an intriguing cloudscape backdrop . .
still be considered, the classiest, most majestic skyscraper in the world . .
