Yep. Quite a common practice when the crane is outside the tower, we've seen them do that on both the arriVa and Vetro condo towers in Calgary in the past year. Theres a few others that will undergo that as well once their respective projects are completed, though I have seen at least one that was outside be disassembled at its full height (though only about 12 stories in the air)

I'd assume they go that route versus disassembling it while its at its maximum height for safety reasons, along with the fact they wouldn't need as large a mobile crane do to the disassembly.
