The picture was "Charlie Chan at the Wax Museum" (1940). Marguerite Chapman's real heyday was the early and mid 40's when she was one of Columbia Picture's lineup of B movie beauties, along with Jinx Falkenburg, Nina Foch, Evelyn Keyes etc. She was busy and frequently in movie magazines then.
